About this tour

The focus of this expedition is the search for a wide variety of reptiles and amphibians across diverse ecosystems—whether terrestrial, aquatic, arboreal, diurnal, or nocturnal. From iconic and common species to the rare and elusive, we’ll explore them all through a range of approaches: on foot during both short and long treks, by motorized canoe for broader visibility, and by silent paddling to discreetly access remote water bodies.

You’ll be immersed in one of the most remote, pristine, and isolated regions of the western Amazon—a vast, untouched wilderness teeming with incredible biodiversity. In addition to reptile and amphibian encounters, expect to observe a wide range of wildlife, including several species of primates, Amazon river dolphins, countless birds, invertebrates, and more. You’ll also gain deep insights into the diverse plant life, with a focus on edible, useful, and medicinal species.

Throughout the experience, you’ll be accompanied by knowledgeable local partners from the Indigenous community. These moments of exchange will offer a valuable window into their culture, perspectives, challenges, and achievements—past, present, and future.
