Terms and Conditions

Terms of service:

Welcome to Travel the Amazon. By booking or participating in any of our expeditions, guests agree to the following Terms of Service, which outline the professional standards, responsibilities, and conditions of our eco-tourism experiences.

1. Our Commitment to You
Travel the Amazon is dedicated to providing safe, meaningful, and professionally guided eco-tourism expeditions into the most remote regions of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Our team operates with deep respect for the environment, local cultures, and the wellbeing of our guests.

2. Responsibility and Risk
While we make every possible effort to ensure your safety and comfort, travel in remote natural environments involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

– Changing weather conditions

– Wildlife encounters

– Remote terrain and limited medical access

– Physical demands of outdoor activities

By booking with us, participants acknowledge these risks and agree to participate voluntarily. All guests must be in suitable physical condition for their chosen activities and are expected to follow guide instructions at all times.

3. Participant Requirements
All participants must:

– Be at least 18 years old, or accompanied by a legal guardian

– Disclose relevant health or mobility concerns in advance

– Carry personal travel insurance, including medical coverage and evacuation if required

– Sign our Waiver of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement before the trip begins

Failure to complete and sign the waiver may result in denial of participation, without refund.

4. Liability and Indemnification
Travel the Amazon and its partners are not liable for injuries, delays, damages, or losses that may arise from causes beyond our control, including force majeure events, natural hazards, or participant negligence. By joining our trips, guests agree to hold Travel the Amazon harmless for such occurrences.

5. Use of Images and Media
Photographs and videos taken during expeditions may be used by Travel the Amazon for marketing and promotional purposes, including social media, our website, and printed materials. By participating in a trip, guests consent to the use of their image unless they notify us in writing prior to the start of the trip.

6. Modification of Services
Itineraries, accommodations, and transportation may be adjusted at our discretion for safety, weather, or logistical reasons. We aim to provide experiences of equal or greater value in such cases.

7. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Ecuador. Any disputes shall be handled in accordance with local legal procedures.
